Waterfall

After looking through the 1400 pictures I've taken today, the waterfalls are among my favorites. Here's a taste.

Miss Eden

She's starting her model career early. And by career, I mean job. And by job, I mean getting paid. That's right, she wouldn't "work" for the camera until I offered her money. "I'll give you all the money in my purse, except for the credit cards" I said, knowing I only had $4 and some change. Then she perked right up. But then there was a little whining involved so I cut her back to $2. Still, I can't help but feel like I have been hustled.











SO worth the 2 dollars.





Seriously? The leaves are turning fall colors already? That's depressing.


Oh, and the leaf worked for free =)

Is it just me?

Am I the only one on the planet who doesn't understand what all the fuss about Angelina Jolie is about? I mean, she's attractive, don't get me wrong, but no more so than all the other beautiful people in Hollywood. I don't get what it is that drives men crazy. Is it her obnoxiously large lips? That's just not normal. She looks like a friggin muppet.

Anyway, despite that and the fact I may still be bitter that she stole Brad from Jen, I plan on going to see the movie Salt at some point. Is that a form of hypocrisy?

I can't believe I devoted a post to this. I'm really scrapin' the bottom of the barrel these days. =)

Revised tale of Goldilocks

The other night Emma was reading her version of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. It went something like this...

"Baby Bear's bed was too cold, Papa Bear's bed was too sweaty, but Mama Bear's Bed was just right."

Love it.

McDonald's in our closet

This morning I was putting away our vacuum in the closet and I said, "Why does it smell like french fries in here? Seriously, every time I open this closet it smells like I'm walking into a McDonalds!"

Andreas said, "There's dog food in there. That's what you smell."

And it's true, there's a giant bag of Science Diet puppy chow [opened] in there.

I said, "You're right! Weird."

Then he says, "I would hope you could tell the difference between the smell of dog food and McDonald's." ...(or something like that).

He has a point there!

Outside

Last weekend, when it was so incredibly humid, we decided we needed something for the girls to cool off in. We got a little pool (the last one left on the shelf). You'll notice how it has a nice sagging edge. That is because Andreas didn't want it to kill the grass on a nice level spot of yard, so he picked this slope off the side of the house. haha...








While they were splashing around, I watered my plants outside and discovered a spider web on one of my flower pots. It was brilliant, all speckled with water droplets.
