Glendalough

Yesterday, we spent the day at Glendalough State Park, near Battle Lake, MN. We stopped there briefly last summer and fell in love with the place so we vowed to spend a lot of time there.

It's a lovely place where you can hike on numerous trails through nature, canoe, swim and just enjoy each other's company all while absorbing the beauty of the quiet lake country.

It was really windy and hot so the dip in the stream was a huge hit with all of us. The water was perfectly refreshing. And so clear! We saw tons of fish.

It's so neat to be so close to civilization, yet feel so secluded. It's not crowded with people (we only met one couple on the trails and a few tubing and fishing in the stream).

It was a great day with the family.
