Do you see a difference between the first and second picture? I need some outside input since my husband is unbelievably critical of EVERYTHING I edit.

I def see a difference. The second picture is lighter. I like that one better :)
I can see a difference but Eric can never seem to tell the difference when I mess with them at home either but he definitely sees the difference if I am not watching the TV on the HD channels. I think its a guy thing!

I, too, see the lighting is different in the lower pic. I vote for that one. Either way, both pics a alright.
