Girls love bubbles. It's just a fact. It's indisputable. My girls would probably be in the tub 3/4Th's of the day if I would let them. I had a lot more really cute close ups of Eden that I chose not to post because she had a gigantic boogie in her nose that I somehow failed to notice while I was behind the camera. Haha! Oh well. I could post them anyway, but you really don't notice anything else about them other than the boogie. It's unfair to the beauty of the picture. :) Anyway, here are some of the cute booger-free shots.

New obsession
My routine has been disturbed. The kids don't have school today and I have an extra child here today because of a sleepover. On top of that, I'm slightly less mobile than normal due to a leg punishing weight training session yesterday. I'm pretty much useless today. I've been muttering swear words with every step. Going from a standing to sitting position results in involuntary screams. So I thought it would be best if I just sat at the table all day with my laptop. Moving as little as possible until my husband comes home and I can soak in my lovely jetted tub.
Anyway, I've been looking up vintage clothing on the Internet. I'm in love with the way women dressed in the 40's and 50's. I hate to age myself but I would love to be one of those women who cooks and cleans in a dress and heels and dons an apron and pearls. Seriously, it's odd. Because I typically dress myself in clothes from the juniors section of stores. I can't help it. It always seemed like such a big step to move on the "women's" clothing.
So I was looking for dresses and blouses and was able to find a lot on Etsy but the problem I found there was that the ones I really liked were hundreds of dollars or the cheaper ones were a bit frumpy and ugly. Then I came across this beautiful site called ModCloth. And oh my dear LORD, I've never seen so many awesome dresses on one site!! The only problem is that almost EVERY SINGLE ONE I wanted was out of stock! UGH, frustrating. Anyway, they are a bit on the pricey side but REALLY adorable.

Mamma Chef
Today, I put on my apron in preparation for some baking and instantly Emma wanted in on the fun. She loves to help in the kitchen. What kid doesn't? So I put her apron on and from that moment on, for the rest of the day, she called me "Mamma Chef"...which I thought was about the most adorable thing in the world!
Somehow we ended up having a "fabulous" tea party (which is what Emma called it) first. She set up the table and I made her a flower shaped banana sandwich. Then she made me Triscuits, LOL, she knows my weakness! After eating, we baked a cardamom cake (aka bjornkaka) for Pappa bear.
Then Gram came over and we baked 6 loaves of banana bread. MMmmmm....the house smelled SO GOOD! And the girlies had nice warm sweet bread to eat when they came in from walking out in the cold.
"Baby Chef"
Bjornkaka
Watching the movie "Julie & Julia" makes me want to cook and bake all the time!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!
Yesterday we had G-ma and Shelby over for Valentine's lunch/dinner...linner (or would it be dunch?). Anyhoo, we had some yummalicious linner and even yummaliciouserer dessert! It was a great day!
Happy family (all but Hanna, she went with Shelby to feed the birds).
Roses from my hubs
Tearing into their Valentine's goody bags
The girls all took turns decorating the cake
Eden's turn
Emma's turn
Andreas made fat tuesday buns. Love that man!
Ready to sit down and enjoy some champagne and chocolate cake and chocolate strawberries, and chocolate covered cherries, and......ouch, my tummy!!
